Cynthia Renee's 'The Way God Made Me' makes strong Main Country Chart debut

FOLSOM, CA - July 17, 2026 — Country recording artist Cynthia Renee is celebrating one of the biggest weeks of her career as her latest single, "The Way God Made Me," continues its rise on national country radio charts while her self-titled album earns national recognition and a busy summer and fall tour takes her across four western states.

"The Way God Made Me" debuted impressively at No. 41 on the New Music Weekly Country Main Chart, fueled by 118 weekly radio spins. The achievement marks Renee's first appearance on the publication's Country Main Chart and places her alongside many of today's established country recording artists, representing another milestone in her expanding national radio presence.

In addition to the news of the Main Country Chart debut, "The Way God Made Me" climbed to No. 4 on the New Music Weekly Country Indie Main Chart, moving up two positions from No. 6 and continuing its steady ascent among the nation's top independent country releases.

Digital radio also posted impressive gains during the latest reporting period. The single climbed to No. 4 on the Up & Coming Country Digital Chart with 267 weekly spins, representing a 42.8% increase over the previous week. It also rose to No. 7 on the Country Digital Main Chart after posting a 49.4% increase in airplay, further demonstrating the song's growing momentum with country audiences nationwide.

"I'm incredibly grateful to every radio station, DJ, programmer and listener who has believed in this song," Renee said. "Seeing it debut on the Country Main Chart while continuing to climb on the Indie and Digital charts is something I'll never forget. I'm excited to see where this journey goes next."

The continued chart success reflects increasing support from country radio programmers, digital stations and listeners who have embraced the song's message of authenticity, self-confidence and staying true to who you were created to be.

Released through Twelve Seventeen/SSM Records, "The Way God Made Me" continues to build upon the momentum Renee has established since signing with the Nashville-based label in 2023. Since joining the roster, she has earned growing recognition for her heartfelt vocals, authentic songwriting and energetic live performances while steadily expanding her national radio presence.

Her previous singles, "Working on a Hangover" and "Good on Me," both received national country radio airplay. "Working on a Hangover" reached the top of several national independent music charts, while "Good on Me" saw a strong showing on the MusicRow CountryBreakout Chart, further expanding Renee's reach among country radio programmers and listeners nationwide.

Adding to an already successful summer, Renee's self-titled album, Cynthia Renee, was recently nominated for Album of the Year at the 12th Annual Josie Music Awards, which will be presented Sept. 20 at the legendary Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. The nomination marks Renee's third Josie Music Awards nomination in the past two years and continues a growing list of national industry recognition as one of independent country music's emerging artists.

Beyond radio success, Renee has continued building an impressive performance résumé throughout the country music industry. She has appeared on Good Day Sacramento, The Pat Walsh Show on KFBK and numerous radio stations across the country while continuing to connect with fans through interviews and live performances.

Her performance credits include sharing the stage with Uncle Kracker, Lady A, Chase Bryant and Maddie & Tae while appearing at Country in the Park, New York City's Metropolitan Pavilion, the Harris Center for the Arts in Folsom and venues throughout California, Nashville and Wyoming. Those appearances have helped introduce Renee to audiences well beyond her Northern California roots while continuing to establish her as a rising force within independent country music.

Renee's current summer and fall tour continues to expand her reach with performances throughout California, Idaho, Nevada and Oregon. The chart news arrived Friday as Renee prepared to take the stage at the Elmore County Fair in Glenns Ferry, Idaho, one of several stops on her busy summer tour.

Her upcoming schedule includes July 17 and July 18 at the Elmore County Fair in Glenns Ferry, Idaho; July 24 at Brickyard in El Dorado Hills; July 30 at Music on the Boulevard at the El Dorado Hills Town Center Amphitheater; July 31 at McConnell Estates Winery's Barn Night in Elk Grove; Aug. 1 at Heavenly Village in South Lake Tahoe; Sept. 11 at Pure Country Canteen in Reno, Nevada; Sept. 16, 17, 18 and 19 at the legendary Pendleton Round-Up in Pendleton, Oregon; and Sept. 26 at the Women in Country Showcase at the iconic Boardwalk in Orangevale. The showcase will feature Renee alongside Serena Karise and additional female country artists in an evening celebrating women in country music. Additional casino, winery and intimate venue performances continue to be added throughout the year.

With a strong debut on the New Music Weekly Country Main Chart, continued gains across multiple national radio charts, a prestigious Album of the Year nomination and an expanding touring schedule, 2026 continues to be a breakthrough year for Renee as she establishes herself among the country's fastest-rising independent recording artists.
